This year will be my first Hemophilia Walk and I am hoping that you are willing to donate and support a community that has become my family. This fundraising event will help support the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California and the National Hemophilia Foundation. Ever since my younger brother had been diagnosed with von Willebrand disease we have been helping bring awareness to the bleeding disorder community.
While the bleeding disorder community has faced many tough moments throughout its history, the individuals that make up the community have come out stronger than they once were with the support of each other. It has taught the younger generations that no matter what difficulties we face in life, even those that are diagnosed with a rare bleeding disorder, can do what everyone else does if we set our mind to it.
For many, a world without bleeding disorders is simply a dream. Thousands of kids and adults affected face internal bleeding, costly treatments and lifelong infusions. Your donation will help many families in our community as well as throughout the country. Every dollar that you donate, stays within our community and supports critical initiative such as funding research to find better treatments, educating medical providers on the latest innovations and care, ensuring families have access to quality healthcare and proving access to the best educational resources available.
My personal goal is to raise $1000 for this worthy cause. Will you help me reach my fundraising goal? Please make a donation today or consider joining my team for the Unite for Bleeding Disorders walk.
Thank you in advance for your support. Because of you, we will make a difference.
The National Hemophilia Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders and to preventing the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research.
