We hope you can join us on Saturday, September 15th for the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation's 10th Annual Walk!Much more than just a fundraising event, the Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk brings together individuals affected by bleeding disorders, their families, friends, supporters, and a diverse range of others who want to enjoy an amazing day and support a worthy cause.
The funds generated from our Walk help the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation:
Promote patient advocacy and blood safety for everyone
Support families in need by offering assistance with medical bills, travel, knee/elbow braces and other medical devices.
Provide medical ID jewelry to our members at no cost to them
Provide local educational programming throughout the year
Provide a support network to all our community members
Create and increase awareness about bleeding disorders
We’ve upped the ante and raised our goal to $70,000 this year. We can’t do it without you! Create a team and have your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else you know help you not only raise funds but also raise awareness for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. If someone you know has already created a team, join their team and support them! On the day of the Walk, there will be food, refreshments, exhibits, and more. There will also be plenty of entertainment, including a photo booth, balloon twisting, face painting, characters, DJ and more! We will also be holding the Run for Their Lives 5k and our 5th Semi-Annual Cornhole Tournament the same day! And if you can’t make it to the Walk on September 15, you can still support it by creating a virtual team!
