Our team the Star City Bleeders is based in Roanoke, Va.  Our inspiration comes from two boys in Roanoke who both are diagnosed with Hemophilia.  Cody Davidson, 11 years old and Matthew Lee, 11.  Our families and friends become our support system in a time of need as well as our community resources.  The Virginia Hemophilia Foundation has been an iconic support system for all individuals with a bleeding disorder.

Your contributions as either a walker or a donor are life-saving.  Contributions raised help fund education programs, research and co-pay assistance to those who require costly medication products.

Our team is dedicated to raising as many funds as possible in honor of Matthew and Cody.  Research is gearing towards a cure, but yet so far away.  We need your help to raise awareness of this worthy cause and to promote education throughout our community.

Close family and friends of ours know how costly it is to manage this disease, but most know the major cost is the worrying and panic a parent and loved one goes through watching these boys suffer with a bleed or complications caused by Hemophilia. I encourage you to read each of our team members personal stories.  We offer company sponsors and will advertise your company logo on our team t-shirts and banner.  Sponsorships start at $250 and $500.  Each person who signs up as a walker either in person or virtual receives a Star City Bleeders Water Bottle and any walker who raises $25 receives a Unite for Bleeding Disorders T-shirt.  Every $50 donation receives a personalized Star City Bleeders T-shirt.

Thank you for supporting Matthew and Cody and helping us reach our fundraising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those living with bleeding disorders. Our team is committed to raising money to support those affected in our community and raising awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining our team for the Unite For Bleeding Disorders Walk or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
