For many, a world without bleeding disorders is simply a dream. Thousands of kids and adults affected face internal bleeding, costly treatments, and lifelong infusions.

The cause hits home for me because Hemophilia has had a major impact on my family including my father, myself, and now my newborn baby.

Living with Hemophilia affects your daily life. A minor cut could cause excessive bleeding. A minor bump could result in a huge hematoma to swell under the skin. “Average” injuries aren’t average to someone with a bleeding disorder. These individuals often live with a great deal of pain and complications.

Hemophiliacs have to take extra precautions with many normal activities that most people don’t think twice about. Raising a child with Hemophilia means worrying when they learn to walk, ride a bike, play at the park. It means constantly being on alert and prepared for an emergency situation at all times.

Children with Hemophilia have to toughen up and get used to needles and hospitalizations from an early age. Some require a port to be surgically placed in their chest in order to receive weekly infusions. Others have to give themselves clotting medication at home with a butterfly needle by accessing a vein. It is a very serious and heartbreaking condition but we are strong!

The amazing organizations that offer endless support to these families deserve more funding! They are often forgotten because of how rare the condition is itself.

I’m all in to help end bleeding disorders. My personal goal is to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause. Will you help me reach my fundraising goal? It’s easy — just click “support us” to make a secure donation.
