Hi Friends and Family,
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
The annual hemophilia walk is back on this year! The walk is currently scheduled to be in person (fingers crossed!) and we are so excited to be a part of it for the 11th year!
The Colorado Chapter of the Hemophilia Foundation still provides us so much support. This past year they put on great virtual events like Advocacy Day with state legislators, Education Days to learn about gene therapy and other new developments in treatment, and also a virtual summer camp so they can continue to spend time with other kids who all go through the same thing. The Financial Assistance Fund has also been able to help community members struggling with bills during rough times over the past year. We are really hoping that next year the boys can go back to camp in person! The average cost of camp is $1,000 per kid, so we’d love to cover our kids and more this year.
For anyone who feels comfortable, we’d love to see you at the walk, and if not we totally understand. The walk is August 28th at Sloans Lake (different side of the lake this year - check the map!). We appreciate any support you can provide to this cause that means so much to us. Thank you all for so much support for us and our bleeding disorders community!
