Just like his Uncle Brad, our son, Austin has been diagnosed with mild hemophilia A. Although hemophilia is not new to our family, Austin’s diagnosis at birth was still overwhelming. Despite my wife growing up with a brother who has hemophilia, nothing fully prepared us for having a son with this condition. We didn’t know the additional responsibility that comes with being parents of a son with a bleeding disorder. I had learned some of the basics through my brother-in-law but I was not ready for the complications which come with simple, routine procedures. After 4 short months, we quickly realized we have a lot to learn about hemophilia and how we can support our son as we navigate this new journey together. We hope to provide Austin, and others like him, with the tools and resources they need to live their best lives.

For many, a world without bleeding disorders is simply a dream. Thousands of kids and adults affected face internal bleeding, costly treatment, and lifelong infusions. As a family, we are dedicated to helping end bleeding disorders.

On October 2nd, we will be participating in New England Hemophilia Association’s annual UNITE FOR BLEEDING DISORDERS walk. Our personal goal is to raise as much as we possibly can for this worthy cause. Will you help us reach our fundraising goals? No amount is too little. It’s easy – just click “donate” to make a secure donation.

Every dollar stays within our community and supports critical initiatives such as funding research to find better treatments, educating medical providers on the latest innovations and care, ensuring families have access to quality healthcare, and providing access to the best educational resources available.

Please help us by donating today.

Thank you in advance for your support.  United we will make a difference!
