Most of my friends have no idea my son was diagnosed with ITP at age 6. Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpora is something Nick has dealt with for his entire life. Constant bruising and nose bleeding. He’s gone through infusions, chemo treatments and many blood draws to monitor his platelets and he never complains or let’s it control his life. He doesn’t let ITP effect him. Nick graduated from Geneva HS where he played 4 years of baseball and received his bachelors degree in finance from Illinois State University. Nick is employed by Renaissance Financial in St.Louis MO as a financial advisor.
We were so excited when we found out about this awareness walk and run. Even Nick being so private about his condition thought it might be cool to connect with others especially his age that deal with this everyday.
For many, a world without bleeding disorders is simply a dream. Thousands of kids like my son Nick are affected and face internal bleeding, costly treatments and lifelong infusions.
I’m all in to help end bleeding disorders. My personal goal is to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause. Will you help me reach my fundraising goal? It’s easy — just click “donate” to make a secure donation.
