WELCOME to our UNITE for Bleeding Disorders Walk - Cleveland / Akron!

We are truly excited to welcome our walkers back to the AKRON ZOO,  There's no better way to enjoy a day with family AND friends, than the zoo.  Your admission ticket to the zoo is free, your donation is PRICELESS.  Please keep in mind this is a FUNdraiser and there are costs associated with this event to the NOHF.  Remind everyone what an important event this is and ask they also FUNdraise or make an extra donation.  The NOHF relies on these donations to keep our mission alive.

Walk Details - We hope you enjoy a WILD day at the Akron Zoo!

Participants must raise a minimum of $25 to receive a UNITE for Bleeding Disorders Walk shirt.

Parking is FREE to all participants.

Registration, located at the entrance to the zoo, will begin at 8:00a.  The doors to the Zoo will NOT open until 9a.  We will have an animal educator outside the zoo before the doors open with a few special zoo friends. Come a little early to meet some of the animals!

Once the doors open, everyone is asked to head to the "Picnic Place Pavilion" (directly across from the Lion exhibit) where we will have snacks, Kids Kraft Korner and our Industry Partner tables with giveaways.

Our walk will kick off at 9:45a.  We ask you return to the Pavilion by 11a for our awards ceremony and kids raffle.  Food gift cards are graciously sponsored by Akron Children's Hospital again this year.  We truly thank them for their support!

Our event will officially end at noon, but everyone is encouraged to stay and enjoy the beauty of the Akron Zoo until their close at 5p.

The NOHF is a vital resource for individuals in our community diagnosed with genetic bleeding disorders.   NOHF, founded in 1954, serves 24 counties in Northeast Ohio.  Education and support are provided locally by NOHF to individuals and families who deal with the hardships of genetic bleeding disorders on a daily basis.  The NHF, our partner in this Walk, provides valuable services across the nation in research, education, advocacy, and awareness.
