The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our community members, volunteers, staff and supporters. Due to the unknowns surrounding the current pandemic, to continue to keep our community safe and abide by state and CDC guidelines, we will be holding a Virtual Event.

**In-person walk: we will update you if we receive new guidance from the State and the CDC and we are able to hold our walk in-person this year.

We will be hosting a **Virtual Walk via Zoom on Saturday, October 23 at 10AM. We will recognize top teams, a chance to show off who created their own t-shirts or signs, announce awards, opportunities for prizes and hear from our generous sponsors who make this event possible.

Walk 21 miles! In the upcoming months, walk, run, hike or bike 21 miles at home, in your neighborhood or around town safely. The great thing about a virtual walk, is you can pick any location, time, and length. This is also a great chance to invite relatives or friends to join you and experience the San Diego Unite Walk virtually with our community.

Share your progress! Share your progress with us as you complete your 21 miles by sharing a photo on Facebook or Instagram and tagging HASDC. Share with us “Why I Walk.” The San Diego Unite Walk has always been about celebrating our community and families. Going virtual will be no different. All posts shared with us will be entered into a drawing for a prize on walk day!

When sharing on social media, use hashtag #UniteWalkSD

Support HASDC! More than ever people living with bleeding disorders in San Diego and Imperial Counties are in need of our support. Make a team or join an existing team. Reach out to family or friends to support our mission and consider making a personal donation if you are able.

Participants who raise or make a minimum donation of $25 will receive a Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk T-Shirt.

We walk to support all those who are affected by bleeding disorders - hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and other rare factor deficiencies. This event is open to everyone who wants to support improving the lives of those with bleeding disorders in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

The Unite Walk is our biggest fundraiser to support our mission and programming efforts. Your support has allowed us to continue to provide our camping program as well as providing patients, caregivers, and family focused programs throughout the year. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we have changed the parameters of our Financial Assistance Program. Funds raised from the Unite Walk will not only allow our programming efforts to continue but will allow us to assist more families in our community that need an extra hand during these difficult times.

Whether you've been with us from the beginning or you are new to the Walk program, we invite you to join us in making this the best virtual walk. We're challenging our community with a goal of $30,000. We know you can do it!

Much more than just a fundraising event, the Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk brings together individuals affected by bleeding disorders, their families, friends, and supporters who want to support a great cause. The Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk attracts people of every age and background from parents with infants to grandparents and everyone in between – including more than a few four-legged friends. Everyone shows up on Walk day to share experiences and enjoy each other’s company.

The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County (HASDC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been serving individuals with bleeding disorders in San Diego and Imperial County since 1973. The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County provides educational programming and support services, helping those affected by bleeding disorders lead healthy and normal lifestyles. HASDC works with national organizations to improve healthcare, support research, and provide necessary resources for the bleeding disorders community.
