Thank you for your participation in this year's Unite Walk! Each year the Unite Walk raises funds and awareness about genetic bleeding disorders. We are excited to build the biggest Walk yet for Illinois that benefit the bleeding disorders community. Each year we reach hundreds of families throughout Illinois with educational events, financial support, educational information on bleeding disorders, and more. Please help us keep growing and supporting the bleeding disorders community by participating in our Annual Unite Walk.
Some of the programs and services that your participation and fundraising support are:
Statewide Family Education Weekend which has over 150 attendees per year
Consumer Medical Symposium to keep the community up to date on new treatments
MedicAlert program to ensure every individual with a bleeding disorder can receive appropriate care in emergency situations
Our Blood Brotherhood, Women’s Group, and Hispanic Bleeding Disorders Alliance which all deliver programming for specific community needs
Camp Warren Jyrch which has over 60 kids attend annual and in just the past 10 years has been the place that over 100 people with bleeding disorders have learned to self-infuse for the first time!
These events and programs would truly not be possible without all of your hard work and commitment to the Unite Walk.
The National Hemophilia Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders and to preventing the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research.
