The New York City Hemophilia Chapter (NYCHC) held their 20th Anniversary Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens! 

All donations received go directly to our services and programs. Your support allows us to assist, advocate, educate and serve those with a bleeding disorder in the New York City area while also being able to invest in research into new treatment options, and, ultimately, a cure. 

Though our Walk is over, donations can still be made until December 31, 2025.

20 Years of Unity, Strength and Hope

This year, the New York City Hemophilia Chapter (NYCHC) is hosting their 20th Anniversary Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk! Unite with us on Sunday, June 1 at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens!

This event is a powerful celebration of our community and our largest fundraiser of the year. Every step we take raises crucial funds and awareness for bleeding disorders. All donations directly support our services, advocacy, education, and research—helping us improve lives today while working toward a better tomorrow. Walk with us, support the cause, and help shape the future for those living with bleeding disorders.

Event Logistics 

• Time: Arrive at 10 AM for check-in. Register online before Sunday to help us speed things up! Register here.
• Location: Universe Court at Fountain of the Planets in Flushing Meadows Corona Park (near the giant and iconic Unisphere). View Google Maps link.
• Parking: We recommend parking under the Van Wyck Expressway (I-678). There are also free lots in the park, but they tend to fill up quickly.
• Train: 7 Train / LIRR (Port Washington) to Mets-Willets Point Station.
• Route: The walk is roughly 1-mile on a relatively flat paved path. See route.  
• Food: Light snacks, bagels, and fruit will be provided.
• Unisphere Photos: We will have a photographer at the Unisphere to take your team photo or family photo. 
• On-Site Donations: Donations can be made online, or at the Registration Table on Sunday. Cash, check (made out to NYCHC), or cards accepted. 
• By attending this event, you agree to follow our Code of Conduct.

Our Goal: 1,000 Walkers + $200,000 Raised

• Build Your Team. Create a Walk Team here.
• Set A Goal. How much money would you like to raise and how many people would you like on your team? Be sure to celebrate your progress! Learn fundraising ideas and tips in our seven tips to start fundraising.
• Share Your Story. Use social media to share why you are participating this year. This is a good opportunity to educate everyone in your world about your bleeding disorder journey. Tell them what NYCHC means to you. Learn how to customize your page.
• Create a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser. Donations will automatically appear on your team page once you link them. Learn how. It is so easy!
• Ask family and friends to join you. Have them register on your team today.
