Welcome to the Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon's annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk page. We are so happy that you are interested in our 8th annual walk!  100% of all donations raised at this event stay in Oregon and are used to accomplish our mission to find better treatments and cures for bleeding disorders and to prevent the complications of these disorders through education, awareness, advocacy, and research.

Come join us at our annual fundraising Unite Walk at a new location this year - the beautiful Oregon Zoo in Portland.

Our first priority is always the health and well being of our community. Due to that fact we have postponed this year's Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk to September 19, 2020.

The Oregon Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon is pleased to host the 8th Annual Unite Walk supporting all those affected by bleeding disorders - Hemophilia, Von Willebrand, and other rare factor deficiencies. This walk is a celebration to bring together the individuals affected by bleeding disorders, their families, friends, and supporters who want to enjoy an amazing morning and help a great cause to raise funds for the bleeding disorders community. The Unite for bleeding disorders attracts people of every age and background from parents with infants to grandparents and everyone in between. This year we invite you to join us for a 1.2k walk through the beautiful Oregon Zoo.

We have set our goal at $75,000 this year! Whether you have been with us for years or you are new to our walk program, we invite you to join us in making this the biggest, most exciting walk yet. We are challenging our community with a goal of $75,000. We have no doubt we’ll get there because we have amazing people like you helping us! We have proven in the past that together we can make a huge difference. Every donation goes directly to support the programs and services provided by HFO. We reach a whole community with programs for newly diagnosed families, children, teens, and aging adults. Advocating on state and federal levels to assure we have access to care for those with chronic bleeding disorders.  And if that wasn't enough to motivate you, this year with the COVID 19 pandemic we were able to change the parameters of the emergency services. We were really able to help those families in our community that really needed a hand during this difficult time. This year it is even more important that we rally together to reach our goals. Its never too early to build your walk team and start fundraising. Please consider starting a team, joining an existing team, or making a donation. Every little bit counts and brings us closer to our goal! If you’re not able to join us on September 19, you can participate as a virtual walker, make a donation to your favorite team, or by being a sponsor of our 2020 Unite walk.

Here at HFO we acknowledge that this recent pandemic may have some concerns for you concerning getting out for the Walk. That's ok! We understand. You are still able to participate as a "Virtual Walker". As a virtual walker, you walk on your terms. You could choose a walk around your neighborhood, on your exercise equipment, or where ever you feel comfortable. Whether you walk with us in person or virtually, you are a very important part of our walk and our mission.
